How to get there

From the Airport

By Bus
The Aircoach operates frequent services from Dublin Airport to Dublin City. The closest stops to Aviva Stadium are along Leeson Street and Merrion Road. From these stops, the stadium is approximately a 10–15 minute walk. Total journey time is typically 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic.

By Taxi
A taxi from Dublin Airport to Aviva Stadium typically costs around €35–€45 and takes approximately 30–40 minutes, subject to traffic conditions. All taxis accept cash; not all accept cards, but assistance is available from the dispatcher at the airport taxi rank.

By Car

Aviva Stadium is located in Dublin 4 on Lansdowne Road, just east of the city centre and south of the River Liffey. For detailed driving directions, please visit the AA Route Planner.

Please note that on-site parking at Aviva Stadium is extremely limited and generally restricted to permit holders or event operations . Public parking in the surrounding residential area is restricted, especially on event days, and enforcement is strict. It is strongly recommended to use public transport when attending events.

Public Transport

There are plenty of public transport options:

  • DART (train): Lansdowne Road DART Station is located directly beside the stadium and is the most convenient option.
  • Dublin Bus: Routes serving the area include 1, 4, 7, 7A, 18, 47, and 84, with stops along Merrion Road and in Ballsbridge, a short walk away.
  • Luas (tram): The Green Line serves nearby areas such as St Stephen’s Green and Charlemont; from there, the stadium can be reached by bus, DART, or taxi.
